were planning a family staycation at a local resort to make use of their beautiful pool. We looked for a pool float that would provide some shade so she could enjoy playing in the water. This fit the bill perfectly. Plenty of toys to play with and a cute lobster to boot! I liked the two separate air chambers and the support ring in the float to help provide safety in the event one of the chambers sprung a leak. It was easy to fill and did a great job of supporting her weight. The mesh between the air chambers let a little water through so she could splash to her hearts content. Lastly, the shade worked well to keep the hot Phoenix sun off of her while she played and the shade could be moved around by unsnapping the canopy at the back. The only negative was that the mesh seat was a little too big for her, but that was easily fixed with a towel on her back.

Pros:

Sturdy construction
dual air chambers for safety
Fun toys
Mesh to let baby splash
Movable sun shade

Cons:

Mesh seat a little large

Great quality

This floatie is so cute and made with great quality! The main piece and the canopy are a fabric type material-- not plastic, like most floaties are, so it's safe to say it will last a long time (the octopus is plastic). It was a little difficult to blow up; you really have to squeeze the valve and the size of the floatie and position of the valve just means the floatie and your hands are pretty much in your face the whole time you are inflating it. I got this for our 4 month old daughter to use in the pool. She is a solid size 6 months and is 29 inches tall, but the seat is pretty roomy and I had to keep adjusting her to make sure she wasn't leaning forward into the water. Other than that, it was great and my 3 year old kept asking to use it too because of how fun it looked!

PERFECT FOR 2.5 MONTH OLD!!

We were going to Florida for our sons first Christmas at 2 and a half months old and wanted to have him swim in the pool with us. We looked at all the reviews and were worried about the age limits. He weighs about 14 lbs and we had to hold in from underneath and from behind but the floatie was perfect for him! He could hold his head up and even lean forward. The sun shade protected him from the wind and he genuinely had a great time. I wouldn't hesitate to use this with a child of any age provided you have plenty of adult supervision and support him both behind the back and under the bum.
